2015 Jamboree Japan

Meeting other Explorers from all over the world

Going to Japan

The 23rd World Scout Jamboree

The 23rd World Scout Jamboree was held in Japan in 2015 and we had representatives in four Units going for the adventure of their lifetime – GLSW sent a complete unit of 36 young people and 4 adults to Japan along with 2 patrols (9 young people and 1 adult) to join Greater London South unit and Greater London South East and London Allsorts.

This was a once in a lifetime experience – you can only go to the World Jamboree as an Explorer and the Jamboree is once every four years.

As well as spending time with 40,000 other Scouts our participants also got to experience the sights of Tokyo and hosted hospitality – staying with local Scouts and getting a feel for how they run their Scouting.
