All roles except Occasional Helper, President and Vice President require the getting started modules (Module 1, Safety, Safeguarding, GDPR) within 5 months.
If someone with an above role is attending regularly they should consider a section assistant or group supporter role.
Executive committee members will need to compete Trustee Information
Section Assistants, Assistant Leaders and Leaders will need to complete Module 3
Managers will need to complete Module 4

Once completed send your certificate to your TA, Local Training Manager or your Line Manager to update compass.
To complete module 3 or 4 you will need to discuss your role with your training adviser. If you are not sure who your training adviser is contact your Local Training Manager.
You will need to renew your Safety and Safeguarding training every 3 years
In addition to getting started Section Leaders and Assistant Section Leaders will complete a section Leader wood-badge.
Group Scout Leaders, Deputy Group Scout Leaders, District Commissioners, District Explorer Scout Commissioners, DDCs, ADCs, SASU Managers and District Scouters will complete a Manager Wood-badge.
Some other roles have specialist wood-badge modules to complete.
To complete a leader wood-badge you will need to validate modules 5 - 19.
Your training adviser will meet with you to agree your learning plan to decide which modules you can already validate and which modules you need to do some learning to validate.
The county training team run courses for modules 7, 11, 12B, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

If you only have a few modules left and there are no courses running soon locally you can request a workbook or in exceptional circumstances a one-to-one with your Local Training Manager.
Managers will need to complete the Skills of Leadership courses.

You will need to keep your Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid training up to date by renewing them each year.
