BE PART OF ONE OF LONDON’S GREATEST SCOUTING ADVENTURES
The annual Southern 50 Challenge Hike takes place on Saturday 16th February 2013. This is an adventure based navigation event which takes place from a new venue every year at a different location in The Chiltern Hills. Teams of 3 to 5 participants have to navigate their way around one of three routes, walking from checkpoint to checkpoint. Walkers have 24 hours to complete either a 50 mile, 50 km or 30 km route. The 30 km route is exclusively for Explorer Scouts.
All walkers are encouraged to stay over on the Saturday night. There will be entertainment and activities for Explorer Scouts on the Saturday evening and the presentation of trophies and certificates for all walkers takes place at 1000 hrs on the Sunday morning.
This annual event has been running for over 30 years and we would love to see Explorer Scouts and adults from your county being part of the adventure.
