'Lakes launches 'Junior Ranger' scheme
A plan to encourage teenagers into the outdoors is being launched by the Lake District National Park. Open to 14-18 year olds, the scheme will launch in the autumn and will enable young people to assist the National Park rangers with their work - specifically in the areas such as Haweswater and Thirlmere, which are owned by United Utilities, who are supporting the scheme and offering training.
Potential recruits should enquire at email@example.com
This might appeal to Explorer Scouts generally and specifically to those interested in hillwalking and/or looking for something to do for their DofE/Scouting Awards.
