Wild Country Expedition and Training - UPDATE

Wild Country Expedition and Training

The new cycle of training, practice and qualifying expeditions gets under way shortly with a planning meeting for all potential participants on Sunday 6th September at 3.30 pm (until approximately 5.30 pm). This takes place at the 7th/12th Croydon Scout HQ, rear of 35 Birdhurst Rise, South Croydon, CR2 7EJ. All those registered for their Queen's Scout and/or DofE Gold Award and have not completed the expedition section are welcome (and encouraged) to attend this County provision.

For those who wish to complete the expedition section for their Queen's Scout Award and DofE Gold Award on foot County is organising a wild country training course (October 24-28), and practice (April 2-8, 2016) and qualifying (July/August 2016) expeditions. There are still a few spaces available on the training course, at which teams will be made up for the expeditions themselves. The cost is 75 and again all those aged between their 16th and 25th birthdays (in reality 24th birthday) are eligible.
