Scouts Speak Up

Greater London North scout county has booked the Gillwell Media team to deliver a National Scout Speak Up course on 6/7th February 2016 to take place at the Frith Grange campsite in Mill Hill (right next to Mill Hill East tube station).
There are places available for young people from GLSW - these courses work best with a mix of Scouts from different Counties, and it would be great to make this a London/South Herts course.

Details are here: http://www.gln-scouts.org.uk/gln-scouts-speak-up-training-february-2016/ - we are asking 15 a head as a deposit, GLSW YP will get their cheques back on attendance.
Please let me know if you have any questions or want to discuss further

Are you 13 - 18? Could you tell members of the media what Scouting is really about today? Do you have something to shout about? Would you like to join the Scout Speaks Up team. If the answer to all three is yes then send an email to the county media development manager, martin.whiting@glswscouts.org.uk.

If you are interested in the campaigning activities of the Association check out the current information here.

Young people needed to tell the world about Scouting

The Scout Association co-ordinates courses around the UK, to give young people the skills to talk about their experiences to a wide variety of audiences. Attendees will gain the confidence to encourage young people to join, adults to volunteer, and raise the profile of Scouting in their community, as well as learning skills including; how to talk to journalists, giving radio interviews, giving effective presentations, supporting a campaign and direct lobbying.
