Jamboree 2007 IST Network

The inaugural meeting of the Jamboree 2007 IST Network took place at Bow Lane on Tuesday 3rd January 2006, and more than 50 people turned up. The vast majority were Network members or soon to be members.

It was agreed to set up a Specialist Scout Network (in GLSW) which would draw support from all those 18–25’s who intend being part of the UK IST at Hylands Park in July/August 2007. This Network will hold various activities and events, and will be ever present at such events as the Network Gathering in April and the Gilwell Reunion, already well supported by the GLSW Scout Network.

What we do need is a Network Coordinator for the new Network. Must currently be of Network age – i.e. 18 to 25. Volunteers to me please!!!!

Once we have one or two individuals undertaking this role, activities will be arranged to develop some camaraderie and work out plans for the Jamboree. There is lots to do, and only 18 months to do it.

The Network Coordinator will be a member of the County Scout Network Committee.
