The first picture shows ten members of the party together before leaving for Belarus.

The second picture shows the start of the project. This was the open area in which we built the playground.

The playground consisted of 6 activities:

  1. a set of tyres attached to the ground for the children to run through,
  2. an A-frame for the children climb over,
  3. a set of balancing beams,
  4. an obstacle for the children to climb under or over,
  5. a cargo net for the children to climb over, and finally,
  6. a Burma bridge.

The party consisted of 15 GLSW Scout Network members aged 18–25 and two leaders that provided us youngsters with some guidance. In the left of the group picture is the Governor of Belarus who came to visit the playground. I believe we managed to get our picture in the local paper.

The last two pictures show children that we visited.

The first shows children at a pioneer camp near to our orphanage in Radun.

The second was taken at one of the main Hospitals in Belarus in Minsk. It is just a few children that have been affected by cancer, kidney failure and much more. The equipment in the Hospital is minimal and we hope to continue to fundraise – to provide this Hospital and children with better equipment, for a quicker diagnosis.

I hope these photos have built a picture of what we have tried to achieve over the past few weeks.
