GLSW Network at Kragenäs 2003 in Sweden
<< Previous · Index · Next >>
These pictures show GLSW Scout Network members with Swedish Scouting friends at the Kragenäs 2003 camp, at the opening ceremony and a view of the camp site on the last day of the camp.
The camp (from 26 July – 3 August) attracted 3000 Scouts, 95% from the Gothenburg area of Sweden. The site is in a sparsely populated part of western Sweden some 30km south of the border town of Strömstad. It is largely forested but has some open spaces, and is right next to the sea at the end of a fjord – a great location for land and sea-based activities. It would be a great place to take Scouts and especially Explorer Scouts. It is approximately 2 hours by bus from Gothenburg which is 1½–2 hours by air from Stansted.
There are more pictures of the camp in an image archive at www.kragenas2003.com (click on "Bildarkiv").
