“I’d love to help, but I don’t have much time on my hands” – Providing Active Support

The Scout Movement depends upon men and women who, in their spare time, offer leadership to Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network. These volunteer leaders need and deserve support.

The needs and opportunities are endless

Everybody has some skill or experience that they can share. Scouting needs help with administration, training, management facilities and a whole range of indoor and outdoor activities. Assistance is also required in supporting the arts, instructing Members in sailing, canoeing and climbing, maintaining the District Headquarters and equipment – the needs and opportunities are endless. All the necessary support for Scouting in over one thousand Scout Districts in the United Kingdom is brought together in the Scout Fellowship. The Fellowship offers work within a family of friends whilst supporting Scouting and enjoying doing so to the full. The Scout Fellowship also has its own social and activity programme.

The Scout Fellowship is for YOU

Nobody should be afraid that membership of the Scout Fellowship may make unreasonable demands on time and energy. The Scout Fellowship exists so that people’s concern to support Scouting locally can be used effectively, whether they manage many evenings or weekends or only the occasional day in the year. Scouting needs support from everybody who can offer a little or a great deal.

We welcome people of all ages and interests

The Scout Fellowship welcomes men and women of all ages, interests and background. There is no need to have been a Scout or Guide. All that is required from you is a willingness to give Scouting some of your time. In return, you will make friends and enjoy supporting a leading youth movement in your community. Why not give the Scout Fellowship a try? You’ll be made very welcome. See back page for contact details.
