Fox Coverts Campsite, Kirkby Mallory, Leicestershire

There are 12 individual sites throughout these 17 acres of woodland providing space for 200 campers. Conservation is encouraged and, as well as some other rules to promote this, campers are requested not to take vehicles onto camping areas for loading/unloading of equipment, a trolley being available instead for this purpose. There is wood for fires but supplies cannot be guaranteed. Token operated showers are available in addition to toilets and hot water.

Indoor facilities include a large main hall, a large kitchen and separate leaders room. Kitchen equipment includes a 6-ring gas cooker, fridge, freezer, double sink unit and gas boiler for hot water.

Activities provided consist of a climbing tower that can also be used for abseiling, an orienteering course and archery (by prior booking). A campfire circle, chapel and tuck shop are also present. Patrol camping is welcomed but campers should note there is no payphone on-site. However the site telephone is available if necessary. There is an on-site warden.

The village shop is a mile away and Leicester Space Centre, Bosworth Water Park and Snibston Discovery Centre count among the local attractions, as does the good walking country in the area. The site is open throughout the year.
