General:
This is an activity weekend held in the North Wales mountains.

Departing on the Friday afternoon, we shall travel by minibus to the County Activity Base at Bethesda in North Wales, returning on the Sunday afternoon. The weekend’s programme will include hill walking, rock climbing, abseiling and various instructional sessions.

The Centre is ideally situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and is fully equipped for parties of up to 30. Facilities include bunkroom sleeping accommodation, dining area, large kitchen, with servery, washroom with hot showers and a drying room.

• What to bring: You will need normal weekend kit, including sleeping bag, wash kit, activity dress
and casual wear. A full kit list will be issued at the pre-meeting.

• Pre-Meet: All participants will be required to attend a pre-trip briefing meeting. This will be held on the afternoon of the Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.00pm.

• Cost: £ tba; to cover accommodation, meals on Saturday and Sunday, and all activities.

• Transport: This will be arranged at the pre-meet, the cost will be additional.

Although this is primarily a weekend for the Scouts, it may be possible to arrange assessments for Authorisation (Form M); contact Ron Wellbrook, course organiser.
